Kai Lenny is a lot more than just one of the most innovative surfers in the world. He’s a lot more than a multi-discipline world champion. A lot more than one of the best big wave surfers to ever live. He’s a dad.

Kai and his wife Molly Lenny (née Payne) are the parents of two-year-old twins, Senna and Willa. Given who they’re related to and where they’re being raised, it’s more than likely that they too will be surfers. And Kai is doing his best to see that they follow their passions. Two year olds aren’t exactly the target demographic for most surfboard shapers, so Kai took it upon himself to make one that worked for the little girls.

“When my friend Aidan broke my longboard, I couldn’t just let it go to waste,” he wrote. “So I shaped a board for my daughters from the foam of the nose of the longboard.”

The board that came out was very nice, to say the least. Since Kai Lenny is Kai Lenny, he had to make sure it worked okay, as well. A horde of Lenny’s friends came out in the comments section to say as much. “Brahhh why does the board look way better than my Channel Islands?” wrote Slater Neborsky. “Not gonna lie,” Koa Smith chimed in. “That might be your magic stick!”
