Wherever Kate Middleton goes, her wardrobe of very good pantsuits seems to follow. And sure enough, the Princess of Wales stepped out in her signature outfit formula during her latest appearance — this time ditching her typical rotation of muted, neutral tones for an unexpected pop of color.

On Wednesday, Middleton stepped out for a royal appearance at the Shaping Us National Symposium in London (where she later delivered the keynote speech), sporting her version of dopamine dressing for fall. Wearing the color of royalty — the symbol of wealth and prestige — she slipped into a purple Emilia Wickstead pantsuit consisting of a sleek, double-breasted blazer and coordinating cigarette pants. The royal rounded out her look with a pair of Gianvito 105 navy blue suede pumps and diamond and sapphire drop earrings.

Beauty-wise, the former duchess styled her brunette hair down with her signature bouncy blowout while her glam included a subtle smoky eye, rosy cheeks, and a glossy pout.

Joined by world-leading experts and academics in the fields of mental health, child development, and social policy, the Princess of Wales addressed the room by saying, "It is time we understood that building a healthier world means nurturing the foundations that support our children — everything from the systems that govern early care through to our attitudes to those raising the next generation and the support they receive."

She continued, "Because if we can create a society which sees the child within every adult — and the adult within every child — we will finally start to change it for the better."
