Kate Sent the Sweetest Text Message During Her Mom's First Ever Interview
Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton's mother, Carole Middleton, has given her first ever interview to The Telegraph.
As well as discussing her royal grandchildren-Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis-Carole opened up about how life has changed since her daughter married Prince William.
Kate Middleton's entire family was flung into the spotlight when she began dating Prince William. And for the first time ever, her mother, Carole Middleton, has opened up in an interview with The Telegraph.
Here, all of the biggest revelations as Kate and Pippa Middleton's mom speaks out for the very first time:
She's discreet above all else.
There's an important reason we haven't heard from the Middleton matriarch previously-she values discretion and privacy, especially since her family became somewhat famous: "Over the years, it’s proved wise not to say anything."
Kate and Pippa worked for the family business.
It's no secret that Kate and Pippa worked for Party Pieces (which is celebrating its 30th anniversary) in the past, but Carole opened up about the unusual ways she involved her children in the business from a young age: "They did a lot of modelling. Catherine was on the cover of one of the catalogues, blowing out candles. Later on, she did some styling and set up the First Birthday side of the business. Pippa did the blog. I still value their ideas and opinions."
Kate texted her mom during the interview's photoshoot.
As the interviewer revealed, "You can see why the Middletons remain such a close family (Catherine texted her on the shoot to wish her luck)." Basically, even the Duchess of Cambridge isn't too busy to text her mother when it really matters.
She loves a good sale-& suggests that Kate and Pippa do, too.
As The Telegraph reports, Carole "loves Samantha Sung’s shirt dresses and Goat, but likes to shop in the sale... and she only very occasionally patronizes Catherine Walker, but I suspect this is how the Middletons really are."
Carole is a bit of a party animal.
Considering that she started a business called Party Pieces, it's unsurprising that Carole reveals, "I do love a good party. I’m definitely a night owl and a real chatterbox. My children look at me sometimes…"
