KCAS Pet of the Week: Millie and Nancy

KCAS Pet of the Week: Millie and Nancy

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are a long-term shelter dog and a playful cat.

Millie is a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier that has been at the shelter for eight months. She can be a little shy at first, but the shelter said that if you offer her a few treats, she’ll be your best friend. Due to the stress of the kennels, she has a separate suite.

Over the past eight months, she has gained confidence. She loves to snuggle, play with toys and sniff for treats. The shelter said she spends time in the training room where she sniffs out treats in a kiddie pool full of toys.

Nancy is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair that loves to play. She likes to lounge around in the shelter’s cattery and watch what is going on around her. The shelter said she would love to spend her days curled up on your couch.
