Learn about acupuncture at Gilda’s Club

Want to learn more about acupuncture before trying it? Gilda’s Club is hosting a workshop with Darcie Carlton, licensed and board certified accupuncturist, on Monday, April 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities Davenport Clubhouse, 1351 W. Central Park Avenue, Suite 200. Her presentation includes an overview of traditional Chinese medicine and how it can help patients by relieving cancer and treatment side effects.

Carlton is a board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist licensed in the State of Iowa. She studied for four years to learn traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, including over 900 hours of clinical practice on top of classroom instruction. She attended Illinois State University and lived in Chicago for 15 years, where she graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago/Evanston with a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition.
