Lucifer stans, rejoice: The series has officially scored a fifth and final season at Netflix. The show first premiered on Fox in 2016, and it ran for three seasons before being canceled. Lucifer then made its way to Netflix for its fourth season, but until now, it was unclear if the show would get a fifth season, and showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich called on fans to show their support for the series.

Now, Henderson and Modrovich are thanking those fans for standing by the show. As Entertainment Weekly reports, the duo said in a statement: "We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!"

Netflix added that they're "thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for," but they didn't announce when the new season would premiere.
