There's truly nothing worse than sleeping next to a partner at night only to wake up finding yourself in a half-asleep tug-of-war battle for the duvet. If you happen to share a bed with a blanket hogger (or if you ARE the blanket hogger) then you'll be needing the genius invention that is the ervét system, and stat.

This life-changing duvet literally splits apart—but without any damage or rips to your new bedspread. Patent-pending magnetic technology is integrated down the middle inseam of the duvet, so if (and when) you and your partner happen to tug the comfy blanket towards your side during the night it'll effortlessly come apart—there will be no middle of the night tug-of-war happening.

"Every detail of the ervét system is carefully crafted from our years of trying dozens of duvet covers and inserts," say Mel and Reid, the married couple (and presumable blanket fighters) that invented the ervét system, on their Kickstarter page. "The duvet covers have all of the best features: hand holes for easy insert, ties to keep the inserts in place, and hidden-zipper closures that take under five seconds to close."

The ervét system comes in two sizes: king and queen. It also comes in an array of colors, from white to grey to even a fun pink flamingo print. But enough about the aesthetics—the most important part of any duvet is the comfort. Because there are two separate sides, you can customize your own personal half of the ervét system with two different inserts.

"The inserts we narrowed down to the two absolute best on the market, offering one for warm sleepers and one for cool sleepers," the Kickstarter website says. "Best of all, we've engineered the inserts to look identical in size and volume, but at different sleep-temperature levels."

The entire ervét system comes with the two duvets, two inserts, two pillowcases, and one fitted sheet, and currently retails for $399 on ervetbedding.com.
