Mariska Hargitay

Mariska Hargitay was a supportive bestie at this year's Glamour Women of the Year event, rocking a classic black dress to cheer on close friend Brooke Shields, who was celebrated as one of 2023's honorees alongside other stars like Millie Bobby Brown, Quinta BrunsonSelma Blair and more.

For the star-studded night, Hargitay wore a black full-length gown with small mirrored accents forming three lines down the front of the dress. She accessorized with black heels, while she also posed with stylish sunglasses on the carpet.

One detail of Hargitay's outfit that got a lot of attention was her necklace, which was a letter "B" for Shields. Hargitay was very proud of the jewelry, telling photographers in a clip shared on Instagram, "Somebody go super close on my necklace because I'm wearing a 'B' for 'Brooke.'"

The actress continued directing the photographers in a moment that had a fan commenting, "she said LISTEN UP. CLOSE IN ON THE NECKLACE and the whole room listened. so real of them. as they should."

Another wrote, "My mom said she named me after Brooke Shields and now Mariska is wearing B for Brooke so she’s basically wearing it for me right? 🤣."

"My lord have mercy that woman is spectacular," said a third, as someone else proclaimed, "mother is mothering tonight ladies."

Shields spoke about female friendship in her feature for Glamour, saying, "It’s everything, and it’s upholding, and it’s necessary...We are a village. You need a village. You need to ferret out the people who are going to be there when shit goes down. And you have to fight for it. You have to fight."

Hargitay also showed her support for Shields earlier this year when the model's documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, was released, with the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star's other friend, Ali Wentworth, serving as executive producer. The film came out in late January on Hulu.
