McDonald’s Is Giving Out Free Fries Every Friday for the Rest of the Year

The fast food chain also announced the official $5 Meal Deal, which includes a McDouble or McChicken sandwich with small fries, four-piece chicken McNuggets and a soft drink

McDonald’s is making every Friday special with a sweet freebie.

Every Friday through the rest of the year, fans can snag free fries at the fast food chain on any order $1 or more via the McDonald’s app.

And because there’s nothing wrong with more fries, McDonald’s is celebrating National French Fry day with another deal on the fan-favorite snack.

On July 13, customers can snag a free fries of any size without a purchase to celebrate the tasty holiday.

McDonald’s just unveiled another new offering for fans of the golden arches: a $5 meal deal.

Rolling out on June 25 at restaurants nationwide, McDonald’s will officially offer the McDonald's Meal Deal. For just $5, it includes the customer’s choice of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich with small fries, four-piece chicken McNuggets and a soft drink.

There are plenty of new menu items swirling around at the mega chain this summer. In May, the brand introduced the new and now-popular Grandma McFlurry.

The limited-time treat combines a “delicious syrup” and crunchy candy pieces — “like grandma's favorite treat that she hid in her purse!” — with vanilla soft serve, according to a release. All in all, the dessert is meant to be “sweet — just like grandma,” per a release.

McDonald’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Tariq Hassan said that the new frozen dessert came about since grandmas are "having a major moment influencing culture" be it in the fashion, decor or food worlds.

“The Grandma McFlurry tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re excited to give our fans that experience while honoring the grandma-figure in all our lives," he said in the release.

Last year, the home of the Big Mac introduced several McFlurry flavors to customers. Fans indulged in the strawberry shortcake McFlurry in April 2023 and the peanut butter crunch McFlurry in August 2023, but both were only on the menu for a limited time.
