Looks like food, fright, and Ralph Fiennes is what we can expect to be on the menu this November. The upcoming fall movie release, called, yes, The Menu, also stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Holt, and judging from the new trailer, streaming above, audiences are in for a real treat.

The film, directed by Mark Mylod, is set to be a dark-comedy with fine dining right at the heart of the plot. (Kitchen-set drama really is all the rage in 2022.) And the unsettling new clip has inspired a trail of questions—the most important being, "What the hell is actually going on here???"

Here's everything we know about the upcoming foodie thriller so far.

What is The Menu About?

The film takes place on a remote island where a group of people arrive for an exclusive fine dining experience at Hawthorne, a restaurant helmed by celebrity Chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes). The customers have each paid $1,250 to experience this once-in-a-lifetime culinary extravaganza—but it comes with an unexpected twist. Upon arrival, they learn that there's more on the menu than just food and there's far more on the line than just their tastebuds.

Who Is In The Menu's Cast?

Ralph Fiennes leads the movie as the terrifying and highly-acclaimed Chef Slowik, while Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Holt play a young couple who join the deadly kitchen game, Margot and Tyler (respectively). Beyond these three, the rest of the cast looks equally impressive: John Leguizamo, Janet McTeer, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Judith Light, Hong Chau, Rob Yang, Reed Birney, Mark St. Cyr, Rebecca Koon, Christina Brucato, Arturo Castro, and many more.

When Does The Menu Release?

The Menu will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September before it hits theaters on November 18 nation-wide.
