Mid Continent Public Library helps customer celebrate 93rd birthday
LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — The Mid Continent Public Library in Lee’s Summit is helping a long-time customer’s family throw a 93rd birthday party.
Bonnie Powell loves the library and has been coming every week since 1996.
New exhibit focusing on 1948 Presidential Election opens at Truman Library
The birthday girl is Bonnie Powell and her daughter is Susan Myers. Susan said her mom had been going to MCPL locations for decades. Susan actually worked at one of our branches when she was young.
The whole family comes to the library regularly, including Bonnie’s great-grandkids. So they are like library super fans!
So on her birthday, she had a surprise when her whole family showed up at the library to celebrate her special day!
