Mike Tyson Reportedly Experiences Medical Emergency on Plane to LA

Professional boxer Mike Tyson reportedly experienced a medical emergency in the air while flying from Miami, Fla., to Los Angeles, Calif., on Sunday, May 26.

The shocking news came from a reported eyewitness who claimed to In Touch that they were on the flight as it happened, telling the publication, "Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded."

The source continued, describing how, about 30 minutes before landing, the passengers received a pre-recorded message asking if there were any medical professionals on board before the "screens said medical assistance needed."

According to the alleged eyewitness, Tyson was in first class while they were not. But after the plane landed and they were instructed to wait as paramedics attended to the passenger in need of medical attention, a flight attendant seemed to confirm the passenger's identity.

"She said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.’ I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded her head yes," they went on.

While the passenger had no further information about Tyson's current condition, the eyewitness claimed that the 57-year-old was very courteous with everyone before boarding the plane.

"A lot of fans recognized him, and a few people got pictures," they recalled. "He was very accommodating."

Recently, Tyson has been preparing for a fight against YouTuber Jake Paul in late July, which was announced earlier this year. The professional boxer took a long break from boxing but has returned to the sport in recent years.

Parade has reached out to Tyson's rep for comment.
