New mural going up in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A new mural is going up in Historic Downtown La Crosse. This mural, commissioned by Emplify Health by Gunderson, is meant to unite community members together through art, creating a sense of belonging.
Artists Neo Madina of Northeast Wisconsin and La Crosse native Chase Gentry teamed up to create a collaborative mural that focuses on all the beauty and love the La Crosse area provides to both community members and the state.
Medina says he and Chase felt very inspired by the local landscape when creating this design, “One really cool thing about La Crosse is the geography, like the Mississippi, the bluffs, and I think the way that it all weaves together with… kind of like.. more urban, like, city setting. I think is really interesting.”
The mural is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
