Music on the Hill program set for Sunday [Religion Digest]

• St. Peter’s United Church of Christ of Molltown, 219 Maidencreek Road, Richmond Township, will hold is annual Music on the Hill program on Sunday at 10:15 p.m. Mike and Linda Hertzog will provide special music. The program will be followed with a pot luck lunch in the grove. St. Peter’s will provide hot dogs, rolls and beverages. You are invited to bring a covered dish to share.

• Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, continues the celebration of its 75th anniversary by welcoming back Dr. Joshua Glasner, director of music at Reformation from 2010-13. Glasner is an assistant professor of speech-language pathology at Delaware Valley University. He will direct the summer choir as it sings “I lift My Eyes,” written by Lee Dengler and commissioned by Reformation in honor of a previous pastor, the Rev. Charles Mertz, who served at Reformation from 1977-93. Together Time, a period of refreshment and conversation, will follow the service in the narthex.

• A free concert by the Ringgold Band will be held next Saturday at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown.

• Salem Belleman’s Church, 3540 Belleman’s Church Road, Centre Township, will be holding its service on Sunday at 9 a.m. in the Old Church. The Old Church was built in 1815 and is on the National Register of Historic Structures in America. It features a hand-pumped organ in the balcony and a unique wine-goblet-shaped pulpit.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will hold Coffee and Conversation at 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Sunday in the Welcome Center.

• St. John’s Gernant’s Church (A Federated Congregation), 13 Gernant’s Church Road, Ontelanuee Township, will worship Sunday at 9 a.m. in the Memorial Hall. Shirley Breininger will perform a piano solo entitled “In His Mighty Hands.”

• United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will provide a free community meal, Soup ‘n’ Such, on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Its free Children’s Clothing Closet will be open at the same time.

• Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township, welcomes the Rev. Barry Spatz as its guest pastor at its 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday. A time of fellowship will be held after the service.

• The Rev. Tyson Frey will be the guest preacher at Epler’s Church United Church of Christ, 1151 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, during the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will offer a free drive-thru, take-out meal today from 4:30-5:30 p.m. There will be a free concert by the Ringgold Band next Saturday at 7 p.m.

• Zion Mennonite Church, 582 Zion Road, Robeson Township, will hold Art and Ice Cream next Saturday from 3-5 p.m., rain or shine. The event is for children ages 3-12, who will have a variety of art projects to work on. Each child and parent will also create their own ice cream sundaes. Free.

• Zion Spies Lutheran Church, 318 Spies Church Road, Alsace Township, will recognize graduates at its worship service on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Sue Leinbach will perform “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

In order to have an event listed in the religion digest, it must be something that is not just a regular worship service.
