Nordstrom Brings Out the Boys for Its Men’s Store Launch
It’s not every day that a department store opens in Manhattan. So when Seattle-based retail giant Nordstrom planted its flag on West 57th Street—the millennial billionaires’ row—it made a statement. And last night at the men’s store opening party (it doesn’t officially open until Thursday morning), a crew of the city’s chicest came out to take in the sights and wonders of the multilevel shop. Victor Cruz joined model Joan Smalls in admiring the basement-level shoe salon, while Christian Combs (fresh off his turn in Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Sartoria show) donned his finest while checking out natty suiting. Also taking in the festivities: Olympian Gus Kenworthy and boyfriend Matt Wilkas, who chatted with Queer Eye’s fashion expert, Tan France. By the end of the night, the store had received the style stamp of approval from New York’s most dapper gents.
