Olivia Munn’s Heartwarming New Video with Baby Malcolm Reminds Us of the Important Things in Life

January is a time for reflection, and Olivia Munn is focusing on the big picture. Specifically, how much she loves her 2-year-old son Malcolm, who she shares with boyfriend John Mulaney. The Newsroom alum opened up about motherhood in a touching new post that’s guaranteed to make your mascara run.
“If I knew earlier in my life that this magical boy would be in my future, I wouldn’t have worried so much about all the little things,” Munn wrote on Instagram Sunday, and aww! As a mom, I can relate to this so much. The joy of getting to take care of your babies and spend time with their adorable little selves is unmatched — and make everything else pale in comparison.

In the accompanying video, Munn sits outside with Malcolm, who is wearing blue-and-orange swim trunks. They appear to be in the backyard, which contains a toddler slide, colorful bowling pins, and an inflatable kiddie pool for Malcolm to splash around in. Munn is on the grass, holding Malcolm’s hands.
“You wanna get sunscreen on Mommy’s face?” the Hit-Monkey actress asks her baby. He responds by patting her cheeks and laughing, then putting his forehead against his mom’s mouth. “Oh, I love you,” she says before giving him a quick kiss.
“I love you. You’re my best friend,” she adds, smiling at her baby and kissing him over and over on the head. It’s such a simple moment — playing in the backyard with an inflatable pool — but the simple moments are everything.
Many people could relate. “Perfectly said! As a mom, i dont even remember what was life before kids…” one person commented.
Someone else wrote, “We tried for 13 years to have our son, who was born days apart from Malcolm. I like to tell people that our son brought our world from black and white into color. ❤️❤️❤️”

The Aleppo actress and Mulaney celebrated Malcom’s 2nd birthday in November, where they went to the beach. The family party was trash-truck themed with a creative toy trash truck dumping out a trail of rocks in the icing.
“Spent the last week celebrating Malcolm Hiệp TURNING TWO!! (Nov24) 🥳☀️🏖️ 2️⃣,” Munn wrote on Instagram. “You are the absolute joy of my life. I can’t believe I get to be your mama. 🥹”
The toddler seems to always be enjoying life with his parents. So much so, that Munn even joked he didn’t need Christmas presents this year. “To any friends and family who bought Malcolm a Christmas gift, please return for a full refund and head to the grocery store instead,” she captioned a photo on Instagram of Malcolm playing with garlic. “Thanks and Happy Holidays! 🧄 🎁”
