The Pioneer Woman Has Blessed Us With a Sneak Peek of 'A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition'
A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition won't air until Monday, but Ree Drummand a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman blessed fans everywhere with an early Christmas gift when she shared a sneak-peek of what to expect from the highly-anticipated HGTV holiday special.
Drummand was brought on to oversee the production of a holiday meal with a '70s twist in the iconic orange kitchen in the Brady house. For the grand feast, she developed a turkey rubbed with French onion soup mix, cheesy fondue mashed potatoes and a nostalgic Jello mold, all of which can easily be recreated at home, according to People magazine.
While each of the Brady kids took turns cooking with Drummand, two turned out to be as talented in the kitchen as they are in front of the camera.
“Christopher Knight (Peter) and Maureen McCormick (Marcia) were very good in the kitchen,” Drummand told the magazine. “I didn’t have to tell them too much about what to do. I tried to step back and let them do most of the work.”
Drummand truly bonded with McCormick, and it wasn't just because of her skills in the kitchen.
“We have brothers with developmental disabilities, and we shared stories about our brothers," she also revealed. "It was a special little side note to the day.”
This bonus edition of A Very Brady Renovation isn't the only holiday special McCormick will host on HGTV this year. She will also co-host White House Christmas 2019 one day earlier with Windy City Rehab star Alison Victoria.
"I can’t wait to get a behind-the-scenes look at the massive effort to string the lights, trim the trees, and bring holiday cheer to our nation’s capital,” the eldest of the Brady woman said when hosting duties for the annual special were first announced.
A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition premieres Monday, Dec. 16 at 10 p.m. ET on HGTV. It will re-air on Food Network on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 1 p.m. ET. White House Christmas 2019 debuts Sunday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. ET on HGTV.
