Pizza Hut summer reading program comes with free pizza

NEW YORK (PIX11) — New York City kids can get free pizza if they meet their summer reading goals, courtesy of Pizza Hut.

The pizza chain’s program Camp BOOK IT! allows parents to track their kids’ reading progress so they can get rewarded with a free, one-topping pie, according to the company. When the kids reach their monthly goals for June, July, and August, they are eligible for the treat.

“We’ll also share fun activities and book recommendations each week to keep the fun going throughout the summer!” Pizza Hut said.

This is how the program works:

  • Enroll in the program online here.

  • Add all the books, magazines, or eBooks the kids read in the Camp BOOK IT! digital dashboard.

  • When the child reaches the reading goal, move the slider over to receive their certificate for a Personal Pan Pizza in your email.

  • Use the serial code on the certificate to get the free pizza.
