Planet Fitness to offer free membership to teens this summer
Planet Fitness will be offering a free high school summer pass to teenagers ages 14-19 from June 1-Aug. 31. This is the fourth year the franchise has offered the program. Last year, over 3 million high school students signed up for the summer initiative. Here are more details:
What's included with the summer pass
Those enrolled in the summer pass program will have unlimited access to the facility where they signed up. Participants will also get access to the facility's trainers and classes.
How does a teen sign up?
Register either online or visit your local Planet Fitness club to sign up. Teens ages 14-17 need a parent to sign off on the program. Those ages 18-19 do not need a parent's signature.
Participants will need to download the Planet Fitness app from the App Store or the Google Play Store and create an account on the app to use a QR Code to gain access to the facility. Upon the first visit, a photo will be taken to identify the participant and link to their account.

What else should I know?
The pass is only good for the location where the participant is registered. Unlike Planet Fitness's Black Card membership, through which users can visit any club nationwide, the Summer Pass works like the gym's classic membership that offers access to one club.
