Get ready for your daily dose of cuteness overload, because today the Indianapolis Zoo in Indianapolis, Indiana shared a video of the first time their brand new elephant ventured outside with his proud mama following him.

That baby was born over Labor Day weekend to the zoo's African Elephant named Zahara.

The video posted on the TikTok account page for The Indianapolis Zoo @Indianapoliszoo explains, "Our brand new baby elephant took his first steps outside today! While staying close to his mom Zahara, he was very curious of his new surroundings & was excited to explore! And after 20 minutes of exploring with mom, he was ready for a nap." Awwww, twenty minutes is a lot of time for a baby elephant to get exhausted!

TikTok viewers are adoring this precious baby and @Doug comments, "Looks like mom is smiling and so proud to introduce him."@Brittany replies, "Anyone else think it looks like at times moms straight up smiling?" @Deb adds, "So excited! Everything is new. Mom, what’s this? Mom, what’s that? Mom, what’s this stuff? You drink it? How? Cute x10!" @Pheur comments, "Those tiny big ears, I can’t believe he’ll ever get that big!"

On their Facebook page the zoo announced that next week the public will have the chance to help name the baby elephant. Zahara is a first time mom and her baby is the seventh calf to be born at the zoo. At birth, this lady baby weighed a scant 262 pounds!

We just can't wait to see this little guy grow up! He's just too cute.
