Proof Selena and Taylor Are Closer Than Ever

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift met through their respective relationships with Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas back in 2008, and they've been friends ever since.

But over the past year, fans couldn't help but noticed that Taylor and Selena haven't been nearly as gushy about each other as they used to be - at least not in public. In Tay's 1989 era, the pair were inseparable. They walked red carpets together, sang together on stage, and Sel even appeared in Tay's "Bad Blood" music video. But over the past year, fans have felt lucky if we got confirmation that the girls listened to each other's music.

Well, yesterday, Selena shared the ultimate Instagram post for Taylor's birthday that will restore your faith in their undying friendship to 110%.

It's a video of Sel and Tay lounging in bed in PJs and making funny faces at the camera. Not only are they having a legitimate sleepover session, but Sel's hair is blonde and Tay has Reputation era bangs, so this video is CURRENT - not some ancient vid Sel pulled from the depths of her camera roll to flex on the 'gram.

And her birthday message to Taylor is so sweet. "I’m glad you were born," Selena wrote. "You write all the thoughts some aren’t able to articulate. (ME!) Thank you for giving a voice to this world that is authentic and inspiring. I wish some knew how big your heart actually is.. it’s fierce, bold and freaking wild with light. I’m glad you protect that. Love you."

These two are clearly BFFs forever. Thank goodness for the JoBros, right?!
