Rescue Pit Bull's 'Meltdown Over Chicken Nugget' Is the Sweetest Thing on the Internet

Every dog deserves a little treat every now and then--especially rescue dogs! Whether they're 'celebrating' 100 days in the shelter or getting a reward for successful training, an adoptable pup should savor every bite of their chosen morsel.

Cupcake knows what I'm talking about! This rescued mama dog lives for chicken nuggets, and she's not afraid to say so. After she was rescued from an unloving home where she lost all of her puppies, she was treated to a delicious snack on her freedom ride to her Misplaced Mutts rescue home. It didn't take long before she was nearly throwing tantrums over the yummy nuggets, and everyone's loving the silly way her personality is sharting to shine through!

What a happy dog! This sweet girl loves her chicken nuggets, and I can totally relate. They are delicious no matter the time or place! It's also probably the best dog food she's had in a while, considering she came from an owner who was trying to make money off of her and her puppies.

Sadly, it's true. This sweet mama dog "was abandoned after an emergency C-section where none of her babies survived." The previous owner told Misplaced Mutts that a dog is "no good" if they can't bring in any money, but true dog lovers know that dogs are companions, not vessels to make money at all.

Fortunately, this grieving mama dog was treated to the most delicious snack and the most relaxing car ride. These fun moments are only a glimpse of the wonderful things to come, and I think it's safe to say that there are many chicken nuggets in her future!

Can Dogs Eat Fast Food Chicken?

While there's no doubt that dogs love chicken (most dogs, anyway), there can be some confusion over what chicken products are safe to share with your furry friend. While boiled or baked plain chicken is the healthiest option for your dog to eat, canines can also have plain fried or breaded chicken if necessary. Chicken nuggets are an OK substitute for a snack, and a great stand-in for a treat, though they shouldn't be part of your dog's daily diet due to the other ingredients in nuggets. The oils they're fried in aren't the healthiest, but fast-food chicken can be a great treat!
