Rihanna's Fenty Beauty Is Dropping 14 New Lipstick
Rihanna has not-so-subtly been dropping hints that a new line of lipsticks was coming from Fenty Beauty. The secret's officially out: 14 shades of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle lipstick are coming on December 26th.
The singer-turned-beauty mogul first teased a black lipstick last week on Instagram. Then a few days later, she matched a fuzzy periwinkle jacket to a lipstick in the same shade, writing "ya dig?!" as the Instagram caption. The new matte formula comes housed in a skinny tube, just like the metallic lipsticks from her holiday Galaxy Collection. The formula is different from the brand's Stunna Lip Paint, a liquid matte formula that came in one universal shade of red.
One of the biggest gripes about Fenty Beauty when it first launched was the obvious lack of lipsticks. Considering Rihanna is well known to favor bold, bright lip colors - it was odd that she would launch a beauty line with only one sheer lip gloss. A teaser video of the 14 new lipsticks promises colors like green, violet, cobalt, and orange. Hopefully Mattemoiselle will be worth the wait.
This isn't the only major celebrity lipstick launch coming soon. In addition to the new Kylie Cosmetics lipsticks, Kim Kardashian West said that lipsticks will be a major launch from KKW Beauty in 2018. "We have amazing lip products and lip liners coming out. They’re not matte. They’re not glossy, they're just really to me the perfect lipstick that stays on for so long," says Kardashian West. "It's a little bit creamy. But the perfect colors - the perfect colors. My makeup artists would always mix five colors to get the lip I am wearing for the day. I was like 'You guys, I do not know how to recreate this.' So I am going to make these shades."
