San Angelo’s Packsaddle celebrates 40 years of service

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Packsaddle Bar-B-Que, a beloved San Angelo establishment, is celebrating 40 years of serving visitors this month.

Today, June 21, members of the Chamber of Commerce Concho Cadre joined in the festivities with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The most recent owners, Don and Tracey Kennemer, have operated Packsaddle for the past three years.

“The only way you can stay in business is through great service. We have an excellent staff that makes that happen for us,” said Don Kennemer.

Tracey Kennemer added, “The restaurant industry is tough, and for a restaurant to survive forty years in the same location is a very big milestone that we are very proud of.”

Packsaddle Bar-B-Que is located at 6007 Knickerbocker Road, just over the bridge at Lake Nasworthy.
