Selena Gomez is said to be concerned that her close friend Taylor Swift may be rushing into things with Travis Kelce, with whom the “Anti-Hero” singer has been romantically linked since September. According to an insider who reportedly sat down with Page Six, Gomez, 31, is worried that her pal Swift, 33, may be “moving too fast” with her new NFL player boyfriend, 34.

The outlet recently reported that the source claimed: “Selena thinks Taylor going to games and galavanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her.” The insider added: “Historically, Taylor’s always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s just very odd for Selena.”

Before Kelce, Swift was in a long-term relationship with actor Joe Alwyn for six years. Their relationship was deemed "strangely private," as Page Six notes, due to the infrequency of their public appearances together.

The source also said that Gomez has observed the contrasting manner in which Swift is handling her latest romantic involvement with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, which is far more publicized than her past relationship.

As fans know, the Only Murders in the Building actress and "Cruel Summer" hitmaker have been friends since 2008, and the insider noted that Gomez finds some elements of Swift and Kelce's romance to be "alarming."

For example, Gomez was reportedly taken aback when she stumbled upon Swift socializing with Donna Kelce, Travis' mother, in a public suite, right after meeting her.

According to reports, the "Single Soon" artist also found it odd that the "Bejeweled" songwriter was publicly holding hands with the athlete so soon, particularly given that they had only been dating for less than a month and were well aware of the presence of paparazzi.

In addition, the insider dished that Gomez declined a few invitations to attend Chiefs games due to her reluctance to be caught up in the media commotion.

Still, the source stressed, Gomez is "not in a fight" with Swift, as the two have been seen hanging out and having fun together multiple times over the past few weeks. The source further explained: "Selena just doesn’t want to be part of the media frenzy because it’s really chaotic."

They added: "It didn’t come from a malicious place, and it’s not that she doesn’t like them together. She’s just concerned about the way it’s being navigated."

However, others besides Gomez are invested in ensuring the well-being of Swift and Kelce's new relationship. NBC Sports recently reported that Travis' brother, Jason, expressed concern over his younger brother's increased level of celebrity status and "stardom."

The Philadelphia Eagles center told the outlet:  "On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about [and] that he is genuine about, but there’s another end of it where it’s like, 'Man, this is a lot.'"

Swift (who just released the long-awaited 1989 (Taylor's Version) re-recording) and the football player have been in a relationship since the beginning of September and are said to be developing more serious feelings for each other.

As one source reportedly revealed to the Daily Mail in October: "She is trying to keep it together, but is obviously falling in love with him and he feels the same way."

They added: "Travis is a gentleman and, although it is maybe too soon to say, everyone really feels like she has finally met her match."
