Shoppers in their 70s say this eye cream reduces dark circles and puffiness, and it's on sale for just $17

Fighting dark circles and under-eye wrinkles takes patience — and a good eye cream. The key is to choose a formula with effective ingredients such as caffeine, collagen or niacinamide that give this delicate skin some TLC without irritation. Remedial Pax Eye Cream is our latest multitasking skin-care find, and it does just that. It has all the key ingredients that improve the appearance of dark circles and lines, and it's on sale for $17 at Amazon.

Not getting enough beauty sleep? A rejuvenating eye cream like this one might be the next best thing.

This eye cream hasn't gone on sale for this low, $17, since the holidays. It's hard to find even a drugstore eye cream for less than $20, but this one beats that — and offers the same benefits as creams triple its price. It ships in just a couple of days with Prime, so you don't even have to run to the store.

Remedial Pax Eye Cream aims to reduce puffiness, lighten dark circles and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the under-eye area. How does it work? No magic here: just a formula that's packed with caffeine, niacinamide (also known as vitamin B3) and hydrolyzed collagen.

If you aren't familiar with these ingredients, here's a crash course. Caffeine has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce swelling. It can also reduce wrinkles and brighten the skin. Niacinamide diminishes signs of aging and leaves skin more hydrated. Lastly, collagen boosts skin's firmness and leaves it looking more youthful.

This cream comes in a jar that's pretty cool too. All you have to do is press down on the top, and the applicator gives you the perfect amount every time, cutting down on waste. It keeps the cream from oxidizing and drying out, plus it helps prevent bacteria from your fingers from mixing with the rest of the product.

Remedial Pax Eye Cream has over 2,000 five-star ratings, with some shoppers saying they noticed a brighter under-eye area relatively quickly. "I am 74 years old and had experienced significant dark circles and puffiness under my eyes," said one. After one week ... both are much improved. Nothing has changed except [my] use of this eye cream."

"I started noticing an improvement with the dark circles and bags under my eyes in about a week," another five-star reviewer wrote. "It's a very nice feeling eye cream. Goes on smoothly. The packaging is very nice and doesn't give you too much at a time unless you get a little heavy-handed when you press down."

"It is lightweight and absorbs easily," said a third happy customer. "It actually feels refreshing to the under eye. I wear glasses, and using this makes my under eyes not feel so tired and sweaty. Not sure how else to explain it. Not sure if it helps with the wrinkles yet. But I have noticed a slight difference in the dark circles and puffiness under my eyes."

Fans in their 70s seem to especially appreciate this eye cream. "This cream is the best I have ever used on the bags under my eyes!" raved one fan. "I am 74 years old, and this cream has worked wonders around my eyes but also on wrinkles on my lips and under my chin."

"At 73, I am blessed with excellent skin and very few lines," shared another. "I recently developed big bags under my eyes and have tried everything. I am amazed to say I haven't been using this product for a week and yet even my husband agreed he can see the difference. This is a great product and it's inexpensive too!"

Some shoppers said that while the cream reduces puffiness almost immediately, they noticed that their results didn't last all day. (A few recommend re-applying.)

"I like that it doesn’t irritate my super-delicate skin, and no unpleasant smell. It does help some of the darker areas under my eyes as well as reduces the fine lines, but not for more than one to three hours," said one shopper.

"It did remove saddlebags, but they returned a few hours later," added another.

What you'll find in this jar: A silky collagen-infused eye cream. What you won't find: gluten, parabens, fragrances or irritating sulfates.
