St. Bernard's Unbothered Attitude in the Pouring Rain Is Serious Goals

I've found that just about everyone has a favorite kind of weather, but not everyone lives in a place where they get to experience their preferred climate on a regular basis. I live in one of the most sunny places, for example, but I'd prefer rain every day of the week. And I have a feeling this Saint Bernard feels the same way!

In fact, many dogs who hail from cold climates are at home in the rain, wind, and even snow. I've seen so many videos of Huskies refusing to come inside during the winter or Saint Bernards covering themselves in mud to cool off (and have fun). Midas the rain-loving dog is no different!

This massive dog was caught enjoying a quiet moment in the rain on September 11, and it's a whole mood. No--it's like a dramatic movie scene! If I were there, I'd get comfy and enjoy the Chicago showers with him; because this dog has the right idea.

How precious! I can't get enough of Midas--AKA @saint.in.the.city and his IDGAF attitude when it comes to the weather. His lounging spot in the garden is the stuff of cottagecore dreams, and he looks oh-so-peaceful while he snoozes.

Even though this big boy is comfy on his dog bed under the umbrella, it makes sense that viewers would still make sure he's out in the rain by choice. One viewer asked, "does he have the ability to get back in [the house,]" and his mom confirmed that he does. Clearly, he prefers the dampness and fresh air to staying cooped up indoors!

Did you know that Midas isn't even getting wet? St. Bernards are one breed of dog that has an oily outer layer of fur. The oils help water roll right off of the dog's coat, so this sleepy boy isn't being disturbed at all. If only it were as normal for people to relax in the rain like this!
