Cloudfoam Pure Running Shoe

Whether you're a runner or an avid walker, this shoe can basically do everything. It's equipped with a Cloudfoam midsole cushion that makes you feel like you're literally walking on a cloud, but it's not super bulky. Plus, its sock-like fit makes it super easy to slip on when you need to get out the door fast.

In our experience, this kick goes with just about everything, from long jeans to leggings. Because of its versatility, we deem this shoe as a bargain buy. Trust us when we say you won't just be wearing these at the gym. Between us, I sport this shoe at the office because it's so discreet.

And, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, this shoe is made from recycled materials, which is a welcome plus.

Our one qualm with the Cloudfoam is that, during testing, we found that it may not be sturdy enough for super intense workouts. If you're going for a light jog or a walk, this is the shoe for you. However, it may not be the best option if you're into cross training or marathon running.

Club MEMT Sneaker

You may have associated this shoe with your dad when you were growing up, but now that dad shoes are all the rage, this style instantly of-the-moment again. The best part about the Reebok Club MEMT is that it features a super thick footbed, providing tons of support for long walks and long days out and about. We also love that, like the Adidas pair, the shoe has a Memory Tech sockliner, which ensures a super soft feel throughout wear. If you're into color, there are 20 options to choose from with this pair.

During testing, we found that the shoe is spot on for size and extremely comfortable for all-day wear. Plus, it's super easy to clean with a Magic Eraser. One of our testers says she wears the sneaker almost every single day, and it's held up nicely. We did notice, though, that the shoe does feel a bit heavier than some of the other sneaks on this list.

Carina Sneaker

Featuring a sock liner made with Puma's SoftFoam+ technology, the Carina sneaker provides targeted support for the toe and heel, so it's great for anyone who might be prone to soreness in those areas in particular. You can't go wrong with the plain white option, but thee brand also offers tons of other colors available that are perfect for summer.

One of our testers says that Pumas have been her fave shoe brand for the last 15 years, and this pair did not disappoint. She does mention that this kick doesn't have the best arch support out there, so it's best for more leisurely activities like errands, nice lunches, park walks, etc.

Slip-On Sneaker

Don't be surprised if this is the sneaker becomes your default footwear day after day. Not only can you slip it on right before running out the door, but it's also made with a comfy padded collar, flexible top, and Dr. Scholls' signature cushioned insoles built right in.

We found that, during our first wear, this shoe required no breaking in. From the moment we put it on, it felt super supportive and comfortable. And, those of us with wide feet loved that the shoe came in wide width options. We did find that the regular width can be a bit narrow, so the wider option was appreciated.

Unisex Cotu Classic Sneaker

If Kate Middleton is into it, you know it's good. That reigns especially true when it comes to the Superga Cotu Classic Sneakers. It features a breathable upper, a cushioned footbed, and you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear that the royalty-approved shoes are under $100 and totally unisex (so you can share with your prince(ss)!).

This sneaker was originally made for tennis and court sports, so it's totally fair game if you want to hit the courts this summer. What we love about this shoe is that you can also pair it with a skirt for a totally different (but super chic!) look.

It is important to note, though, that this sneaker runs a bit large. We recommend going for a half size down for a more snug fit.

Champion Canvas Slip-On Sneaker

The Keds Slip-On Sneaker is beloved (by Taylor Swift and mere mortals alike!) because it goes with basically everything, from dresses to skirts and jeans. You wouldn't want to work out or go for long walks in it because the footbed is on the thinner side, but these easy slip-on sneakers are a breathable summer vacay or beach shoe option.

The comfort comes in with the foam footbed, which doesn't look like much in pictures, but feels like a whole lot on the foot. Plus, it's so easy to slide into and slip on as it has no laces. Lastly, the shoe has both narrow and wide options, so it can fit onto any foot.

Clifton 9 Running Shoe

Runner-loved brand Hoka is great about catering to a (literal) wide range of foot sizes. All its shoes come in a "wide" option, including this one. This shoe provides soft, even cushioning during all activities, from running to walking and even cross-training. And, all the while, it's super lightweight and comfortable. The thick cushioning under-foot absorbs impact and distributes weight evenly for support with each and every step.

One of our testers, who struggles with foot pain, says she can finally walk all day without any pain when she wears this shoe. She even bought her brother a pair as he's on his feet all day at work, and he loves it too.

One of our editors with a narrow foot says this shoe feels a bit too wide. if you have a more narrow foot, we wouldn't recommend going for a pair of Hoka shoes.

Air Force 1

Air Force 1 sneakers are a favorite among the Women's Health team—thanks in no small part to the shoe's classic style details: embedded stripes, a dotted mesh pattern at the toe, and (of course!) the iconic Nike swoosh. it's a bit too heavy to be a running shoe, but the highly cushioned lining and footbed makes it an amazing year-round walking sneaker.

"I've sworn by Air Force 1s for years," says WH director of special projects Amanda Lucci. "Between my husband and I, we probably own 15 pairs." She adds that her bright white ones go with every outfit, so she'll never be without a pair. She even wore them on a recent trip to France walking 20,000 steps a day, and couldn't believe how good her feet felt afterwards.

FuelCore Nergize V1 Sneaker

Us runners can't stop raving about this sneaker from New Balance. A special band around the arch provides targeted support, and the memory foam sole is designed to really hug the foot with a super lightweight feel. (Pro tip: order half a size up from your typical shoe size for the best fit.)

We found that this shoe is extremely lightweight compared to many other running shoes we've tried. Plus, it slips on like a sock without slacking on support. We call that a win-win in our book.

Cloudaway Hiking Sneaker

Founded by an actual Ironman champion, you can trust that On shoes are seriously durable. This shoe in particular is made for hiking, but we love the street style look for city slickers, too. And, if you're just setting out on a long long, this shoe is perfect, too. Bonus: It's "crushable" and easy to pack!

We also love that this shoe has no laces, and it slips on super easily. It's an on-the-go girl's absolute dream. After some testing, we did find that it runs a half size too small, so know that before going into shopping so you get the right size.

Women's Techloom Breeze

This running shoe from APL is one of the sleekest and lightest on our list, weighing only 6.8 oz. It features Propelium technology to maximize energy generation and provide comfort. The Techloom upper secures your foot in place, allowing a full range of motion during long walks or runs. Despite its light weight, it includes a forefoot crash pad to protect your toes. All of this in one shoe? Yeah, we're pretty impressed too.

Our only con to this shoe is that it runs narrow, so it's not suitable for those with wider feet.
