Fort Collins, get ready to bike.

The city’s Summer Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day will be Wednesday, June 26. This will be the 36th iteration of the unofficial holiday.

Anyone using a car-free transport method like walking, biking or scooting is welcome to participate.

“Local organizations will have stations set up along the City’s busiest bike routes offering breakfast, snacks, goodies and bike repairs,” the city’s news release says.

Breakfast stations will be available from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by the closing ceremony (which includes music from Eastwood and Holly) at the CSU Oval from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m..

Fort Collins maintains more than 200 miles of dedicated bike lanes. Last year, more than 5,400 people participated in Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day, preventing 44,236 vehicle miles traveled, according to survey data in the release.

While participants are not required to sign up, they are encouraged to take a survey to measure this year’s impact.
