Superior commission calls on creatives to enhance city culture

Jun. 15—SUPERIOR — The city's Culture, Events and Public Art Commission announced the opening of a new grant opportunity for creative people.

The Superior Public Art Grant program provides one-time grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to artists, artistic teams, creatives, makers, performers, art organizations and other culture drivers to enhance and increase arts, culture and public art opportunities within the city of Superior.

The program's goal is to encourage artistic engagement, spur economic vibrancy and revitalize Superior through the arts.

Applications will be reviewed twice a year by the Culture, Events and Public Art Commission. The first round of applications is due by July 1 for fall and winter projects.
