Haley Lu Richardson’s characters love traveling the world, and whenever they do, they sure get into some wild adventures.

You might recognize the 28-year-old actress for her starring role in season two of The White Lotus. On that series, Richardson portrayed Portia, the adrift assistant to Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge), who gets dragged along on an Italian vacation that takes some...unexpected turns. Now, Richardson plays another starring role in the new romance film, Love at First Sight, which has quickly become the top movie on Netflix's list of most-watched films.

Love at First Sight premiered on Friday, September 15, and in a matter of only 24 hours, the romantic drama quickly moved into the number-one spot. It is currently sitting above other popular titles, like You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, Don’t Worry Darling and The Wolf of Wall Street.

The film is based on the novel The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith. In the movie, Hadley (Richardson) finds herself connecting with a random stranger, named Oliver (Ben Hardy) while on a flight from New York City to London. However, when the two find themselves suddenly ripped apart, they fear that they may never see each other again...but things may just work out for these two in the end.

Along with Richardson and Hardy, Love at First Sight also stars Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Katrina Nare (Andor), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place), Luke Whoriskey (The Fall), Tom Taylor (The Dark Tower), Dexter Fletcher (Band of Brothers) and Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’s Diary).

The film was directed by Vanessa Caswill (who directed the BBC miniseries Little Women and Thirteen), with a screenplay from Katie Lovejoy.
