On Saturday, April 22, concertgoers noticed that Taylor Swift had scraped her hand as she performed during her Eras Tour concert in Houston. The singer's fans immediately took to social media to express their concern for her well-being as images of a gash on her left palm went viral, but all appears to be well. On Monday, April 24, Taylor took to Instagram to share the truth about her hand injury.

"Just got to play 3 insane shows in Houston and I’m waking up smiling reminiscing about how much fun we all had. Loving this tour so much because of the passion these crowds put into it all - seriously can’t wait for Atlanta," she captioned a carousel post.

The Grammy award-winning singer later addressed concerns from fans who took to social media with questions and well wishes. "PS for those asking how I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was my fault completely," Taylor wrote. "[I] tripped on my dress hem and fell in the dark backstage while running to a quick change - braced my fall with my palm. It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded. Don’t worry about me I’m gooooood 😘."

Concern for Taylor's hand first hit social media after concertgoers at the second of the singer's three shows in Houston noticed that her hand appeared to bleed throughout the show. According to one Swiftie with an eagle eye, Taylor most likely injured her hand sometime during the transition from "Anti-Hero" to "Tolerate It" and then "Ready For It." As the concert went on, Taylor emerged with a bandage wrapped around her wrist and palm, but by the end of the show, it seemingly slipped off of her hand.

Despite her injury, Taylor put on a dynamic show, drawing in much applause from her fans."Taylor Swift is so powerful for performing with that nasty looking hand injury bc when i get a paper cut i tend to freak out about it for 10-20 minutes," one fan wrote on Twitter.
