Taylor Swift is Sparking Engagement Rumors with Her Newest Song Lyrics

From Seventeen

Taylor Swift's upcoming album, "Lover," may still be a few weeks away, but every day the singer continues to drop hints about what's to come. This time, though, Taylor's clue impacts a bit more than just the track list for TS7.

It all started when the singer posted some pics from her Vogue cover shoot, captioning one with a romantic rhyme. "My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue. All’s well that ends well, to end up with you. 💙"

In the cover story for Vogue's September Issue, it is revealed that these lyrics come from the title track, "Lover." Well, any wedding fan will know that brides often try to gather "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" on their wedding day for good luck.

Of course, the lyric's reference to the wedding rhyme got Swifties freaking out, as many assumed this meant the singer is engaged to her boyfriend Joe Alwyn. The speculation hit a high when fans noticed that Taylor liked a Tumblr post that connected the lyrics to the wedding rhyme.

And then there's the fact that in the photo Taylor posted with the caption, it looks like there's a string tied on her ring finger (signifying "tying the knot" perhaps?).

It would be totally in Taylor's wheelhouse to announce her engagement through song lyric easter eggs, and she has been dating the British actor for over two years, but something tells me that Taylor is going to torture us just a little bit more before she reveals the truth behind her possible wedding plans.
