Things to do: Float down the Hocking River during three day Tube-A-Rama

Tubing adventure

Beat the heat and float away your worries at the sixth annual Tube-A-Rama on the Hocking River on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. According to the Facebook event page, "Soak up the sun on a natural three-mile lazy river float on the scenic Hocking River. Relax on the sandbanks for lunch when you bring a cooler carrier or simply enjoy the scenery passing by. The float lasts anywhere from two to six hours depending on river conditions and your group." There are multiple time slots available, so be sure to book early. Tubing costs $25 per adult and $20 for kids. If you bring your own tube, the cost is $15. Photographer's Guide to Ohio

The John McIntire Library will play host to Ian Adams, for the Photographer's Guide to Ohio. Adams is an environmental photographer and has documented some of the most gorgeous spaces in the Buckeye State. Watch the slideshow presentation and ask your questions. The event is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. This is a free event, but registration is required. Guests can register by visiting https://events.muskingumlibrary.org. Live music

The Barn is once again home to the rocking sounds of Backbone on Saturday. This band from Byesville is sure to get you pumped with their mix of classic rock, current favorites, and country hits. Dueling pianos

Looking to kick off summer right? Head to Landoll’s Mohican and check out the dueling piano show. Lots of audience participation makes this blend of music and comedy a fan favorite. A full bar will be available. The event comes with dinner. The content is rated R. Tickets range from $60 to $85. Doors and the full bar open at 7 p.m., with dinner at 7:15 p.m. Music and entertainment are scheduled to run from 8 to 10:30 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets call 1-800-291-5001. Color run

Get sweaty and colorful for a good cause. Join the Homeless Hands of Zanesville for the annual 5k Color Run/Walk on Saturday, June 29 at the American Legion Post 29, located on Third St. Color bombs will be going off beginning at 11 a.m., but you can register from 10 to 11 a.m. Participants can only register in person this year. The cost per person is $20, with kids under 5 free. The registration fee includes a race T-shirt. According to the Facebook event page, "You can run, walk, have a stroller, wagon, bicycle, or wheelchair. This is a family-oriented event. This event will be followed by a cornhole tournament, if you choose to participate." Concessions will be available after the race. For more information call 740-617-7164.
