Timelapse Captures Blizzard Burying Utah Ski Resort

Utah Daily Snow, aka @WasatchSnow on Twitter, just posted a time lapse of the "absurd totals on the upper mountain at Snowbasin".

Snowbasin received 6 new inches overnight, and 14 inches in the past 24 hours.

The latest storm dumped a total of 41 inches over Snowbasin, leaving Snowbasin free to open tons of new terrain.

As of today, 22 trails are open, with 9 of those being groomed.

The open trails include (among others) 119, Bear Hollow, Boardwalk, Bullwinkle, Dog Leg, Fro Zone, Herbert's, Littlecat, Lo Fro Zone, Lower Moose Mound, and Pineview.

The four open lifts include Needles Gondola, Littlecat Express, Middle Bowl Express, and Grizzly Carpet.

Snowbasin did originally have to delay their opening day due to a slow start to the season, so it is a welcome surprise to see how much snow is filling in at the start of December.

While the mountain was scheduled to open on November 24th, they had to push that back to November 30th.

This time around, officials at Snowbasin were quick to the punch and responded comedically to Utah Daily Snow, tweeting back a meme response.

Does a GIF of Woody from Toy Story make you think of powder days like it did for Snowbasin?

Seems a little random. But who cares. It's snowing... get out there!
