New Towanda store expands business

TOWANDA, Pa (WETM) — The western wear clothing store Wild West Outfitters has now opened new axe throwing lanes and rage rooms for its entertainment and gaming entity. People who go shopping for clothes can participate in axe throwing and sign up to smash things at the store.

According to the business owner Christian White, the store opened last Mother’s Day and it took two months to complete the new addition. Another axe throwing facility named Splinters’ Hatchet & Axe Throwing, helped in designing features on the board and teaching how to throw the axe.

“It’s going to be an event place unlike any other place out here that people in the community can come and actually have fun and partake in everything,” said White. “We actually take opinions from people to find out what they would like and we’re going to implement all that.”

One of the store’s team members Lauren Cerio expanded on the addition of the axe throwing saying, “We wanted to do something that was a little bit different. We wanted it to make it more of an all-inclusive place where you can come and throw axes and you can buy yourself some new boots. We wanted it to be a place to bring your family and your friends and just come have a good time.”

People who would like to sign up for axe throwing must be at least 14 years old; for rage rooms the age requirement is 16 years-old and above. Anybody who participates in either activity must be accompanied by an adult 25 years-old or older. In addition, White says he plans to open a game room in October, with air hockey, pool table, basketball hoops, and other games.
