Uma Thurman and her 25-year-old daughter Maya Hawke just confirmed that mommy-and-me fashion will always be in style, no matter your age.

On Wednesday, Thurman and Hawke made a rare red carpet appearance together at the Room To Grow's 25th Anniversary Gala in New York City while twinning in coordinated head-to-toe black ensembles that had us seeing double. For the event, Thurman donned a black long-sleeved gown with a front high slit that she layered with a bold shoulder-caped jacket. She slipped into a pair of black pointed-toe pumps, and accessorized with a diamond brooch, matching drop earrings, and a sleek black clutch. Her blonde hair was styled in a slicked-back ponytail.

Meanwhile, Maya, whose father is Ethan Hawke, sported a head-to-toe matching Prada two-piece set consisting of a collarless jacket with gold buttons and a pair of slouchy slacks. Black patent leather heels, a coordinating Prada bag, and pearl drop earrings provided the finishing touches to her minimal look. Similar to her mom, Maya wore her brunette hair in a sleek updo, while the mother-daughter duo both opted for no-makeup-makeup looks.

At the event, Thurman opened up about her and Maya's mother-daughter bond, revealing that their strong relationship goes far beyond matching outfits and a shared passion for the entertainment business. “What isn't a mother-daughter bond?” Thurman told People at the event. “Good communication. That is a big challenge, to make sure we keep communication healthy, strong, and open with your family.”
