United Is Opening Its Largest Lounge in the World at This U.S. Airport — Here Are the Details

Travelers with access to United’s airport lounges will have a whole new experience the next time they go through Denver International Airport (DEN). The airline is expanding its lounge space at the Mile High City lounge hub by more than 100,000 square feet — the size of two football fields — among other infrastructure improvements set to be complete by 2025.
The latest opening includes what will be the largest United Club in the world, a dramatic three-story, 600-seat space located in the B concourse of the airport. The new 35,000-square-foot lounge emphasizes Denver’s brewery scene with a new beer-tasting experience on the mezzanine level. Guests can partake in a seasonal rotation of 10 local and craft beers on tap from Colorado breweries New Belgium, Great Divide, Denver Beer Company, and Upslope.
Over on the A concourse (near Gate A26), United pulled the wraps off a two-story, 24,000-square-foot club just last month, with a focus on decor that reflects Colorado’s outdoor landscapes. The ski lodge-like aesthetic also features two fireplace lounges, stacked wood, flannel patterned cushions, and vintage ski decor. A game lounge with shuffleboard is also on the list of amenities.
That’s two brand new lounges in a matter of weeks at United’s massive Denver hub. The airport is particularly important for connecting passengers; the airline says more than two-thirds of customers connect to other places in Denver. The new United Clubs are expected to accommodate more than double the number of travelers than previously.
“The new United Club locations are designed and operated to reflect feedback from our customers and match the way their travel has evolved in recent years,” Alexander Dorow, United’s Head of Clubs and Lounges, said in a statement. “We’re growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers’ experience.”
Both the A concourse and B concourse lounges will also offer similar amenities: high-speed Wi-Fi, self-scan entry gates for seamless access, and private wellness rooms. On the dining front, expect offerings with a local flair, including oatmeal paired with Colorado honey; egg frittatas inspired by the Denver omelet (ham, bell peppers, red onion, spinach, and cheddar cheese); Colorado Club sandwiches; and pork green chili.
An additional revamped lounge will open in 2025, and once revealed, Denver will feature more than 100,000 square feet of United Club space.
