Valve Announces Winners for The Steam Awards 2022

Valve has officially announced the winners of The Steam Awards 2022 which were decided via community vote. Steam is a popular digital storefront operated by Valve through which users can purchase video games. Initially developed for Windows, Valve has expanded over the years to macOS and other operating systems as well as mobile and its own Steam Deck devices. The service now boasts more than 120 million monthly active users and over 50,000 games.

Highlights from this year's awards include the action role-playing game Elden Ring given the top prize of "Game of the Year" over other popular titles such as Stray and God of War which were recognized in other categories. Elden Ring also happened to receive the "Best Game You Suck At" award with the Steam calling it the "toughest game we've ever loved." Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding Director's Cut was voted as the "Best Game on the Go" and Cyberpunk 2077 was given the most improved "Labor of Love" title for all the good work the devs have put in to fix and support their creation since its chaotic debut.
