Vlog: Pro Surfer Jamie O'Brien's Still Living the Dream Surfing Fiji

It's a busy time for the North Shore, where pro surfer and YouTube extraordinaire Jamie O'Brien lives.

It's been getting slammed with huge surf and huge crowds, as surfers and spectators rush in for the World Surf League's Champion Tour that kicked off with the Lexus Pipe Pro.

So O'Brien, did what any smart, adventurous pro not on the CT would do as crowds at Pipeline, his home break, get even thicker—he escaped to Fiji. Naturally, he's been vlogging the entire time.

In the latest episode above, O'Brien's still scoring epic surf in Fiji.

Opening the video, he says:

"It's a beautiful morning here in Fiji. This is gonna be a POV kinda day. Got the GoPro Hero 12 out today, boards are loaded, jetskis ready, and I'm psyching."

That's pretty much it with the dialogue. Like he promised, O'Brien serves up POV footage the entire time.

For around 25 minutes, O'Brien and a handful of other surfers score big, beautiful barrels at a remote, uncrowded surf break.

No frills, just surfing.

The video's comment's section blew up with viewer's input. How could it not with over a million subscribers? Check out a few below.

"Amazing footage! Every angle covered. Really well done guys!

"Beautiful wave and the wall of water then you and your shadow pop out of the wave at the 22:00 mark EPIC"

"Wow that first wave really set the session in motion"

"Crazy edit. Thought you went from looking at fish to catching wave in 1.5 seconds."
