This Wendy's Keychain Gets You Free Frostys for an Entire Year

And it's for a good cause, too.

Do you want a year’s worth of Wendy’s Frosties for just $3? That’s a ridiculous question because, of course you do. Starting Monday, November 20, Wendy’s is selling its Frosty Key Tags again, and for just $3 bucks, you can get one free Jr. Frosty every day with any Wendy’s purchase through the end of 2024. Not only that, but the annual Frosty Key Tag campaign helps to support the efforts of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

There are three ways that Frosty-lovers can get their Key Tag. If you’re inside a Wendy’s restaurant or at the drive-thru, you’ll just ask to add the Frosty Key tag to your order. (If you go with this option, you’ll receive a physical tag that you can attach to your key ring, letting everyone know that you have excellent taste in desserts.)

On the Wendy’s mobile app, you can add a digital Frosty Key Tag to your order, and you’ll receive it as a mobile offer that can be used on future mobile orders, or added to your Wendy’s Rewards card for use at any Wendy’s location. App users can also add a physical Frosty Key Tag to any in-app order. (Wendy’s noted that the digital Frosty Key Tag offer refreshes every hour, which can be used once per hour with any purchase. How many free Frosties can you have in a day? That’s between you and your Key Tag.)

Finally, if you'd like to buy Frosty Key Tags in bulk so you can become the most popular person in your office (or the best guest at Friendsgiving), you can purchase them through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption website.

"For three decades, Wendy's has been passionate about raising critical funds and awareness of the urgent need for forever families for children and youth in foster care," a Wendy's spokesperson said when the Frosty Key Tag campaign launched last year. "The Foundation's evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model supports the hiring of adoption professionals who work with smaller caseloads of children in foster care, ensuring that they have enough time and resources to find the right home for every child."

Earlier this week, Wendy's brought its seasonal Peppermint Frosty back to restaurants – and yes, you can use the Frosty Key Tags for those too. John Li, the global VP of culinary innovation at The Wendy's Company, told Food & Wine that it took the Wendy's culinary team about 30 days to create and perfect the Peppermint Frosty before its debut last year.

"The Peppermint Frosty launch in 2022 resulted in us selling the most Frosty treats we've ever sold during the winter time frame, proving that Frosty treats aren't limited to warmer seasons," he said. "Consumers showed up in a big way and illustrated why seasonal flavor innovation is so important."
