Snoop Dogg has announced that he's postponing the upcoming 30th-anniversary concerts for Doggystyle, an album produced by Dr. Dre.

Originally scheduled for June 26 and June 27 at the Hollywood Bowl, the shows have been pushed to October.

The rapper took to Instagram yesterday, June 2, with the news, explaining in a video shot in his yard, "Hollywood Bowl, June 26 and 27, we’ve gotta move that date! Me and Dr. Dre, we stand in solidarity with the writers, so what we gonna do, we gonna push it back to Oct. 20 and Oct 21. So make sure ya’ll get ya’lls tickets to stay on point and stay on deck."

He emphasized the message in the caption, explaining, "Due to the ongoing WGA strike and the DGA and SAG/AFTRA negotiations, we have decided to postpone the shows scheduled for June 27 and June 28 at the Hollywood Bowl. We stand in solidarity with the unions and are hopeful that the AMPTP will negotiate fair deals as soon as possible and everybody can get back to work."

Sources reportedly told TMZ that the events are intended to be a "joyful celebration" of the 1993 record, so moving forward at a time when much of the "creative community is in turmoil" didn't feel right to the duo.

The Writers Guild of America's strike is in its fifth week, with plenty of celebrities stepping out to show their support. According to the publication, the pair also sent food trucks out to the picket lines at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon.
