Woman implores other adults to do activities by themselves: ‘This is the ideal twenty-something energy’

TikToker Victoria Pla (@vjpla) recently posted a video giving adults simple advice on how to gain more experiences. According to her, young people need to go out and do things — even if they are alone.

“As an adult, you often have to be like, ‘I’m going,’” she said. “‘I’m going to this restaurant. I’m trying this bar. I’m signing up for this class.’”

In the caption of her video, she acknowledges that people with this mentality will end up doing many things alone. On the bright side, they will have more experiences this way.

“Open Invite. I’m texting you all,” Pla said. “You can all come. I will be going regardless.”

Pla directed her advice at younger adults, and many of them love the mindset for this time of their life.

“This is the ideal twenty-something energy,” replied @toyxxdoll.

“Literally. Don’t miss out on things bc no one else can go,” replied @bree.aoi.1942.0.

Several people have already adopted this mindset, with viewers sharing how they go to movies, concerts and even travel by themselves.

“I hostel hopped the UK and went to the Eras Tour alone,” replied @ekmfo92. “It’s fun! And you get to do whatever you want without worrying about others not having fun.”

Even for people who want to travel alone, there are ways to not be by yourself with the help of travel groups. These excursions allow solo travelers to explore areas with other people who want the same experience.

With many of Pla’s viewers jumping on board with the idea of doing things alone, going places solo might be the next trend for young adults.
