Hallways in homes that end with a wall feel like a dead-end street, and in short, they pretty much are. They typically go unnoticed while making a space feel more closed in. This thought up such a genius way to combat this issue as she transformed her dead wall space at the end of a hallway and we are swooning over the transformation.

She carefully cut into the drywall that is hung over the wall in the hallway where her dead space lurks. After exposing the studs of the wall she removed a two by four stud- that was non structural- and replaced it with three uniform custom shelves.

This is a brilliant take on using up empty and dead wall space and creating more storage at the same time!
