Young Grizzly Bear's Sad Reaction to Being Alone for the First Time Is a Tear-Jerker

Most people are warned to stay alert if they ever see a young cub while out on a hiking trail or camping because this typically means the mama bear is nearby. And you don't want to mess with a mama bear.

But, just like kids, cubs can't stay with their moms forever. They eventually are sent out on their own to conquer the world. Some are more ready than others. At least that's what we're learning from TikTok user @julia.littlelightning's recent clip. Take a look at this sad bear's reaction to being left alone.

Aww, poor baby is so confused about being alone for the first time. We totally feel how she's feeling - leaving your childhood home is a very weird feeling. After having their mother protect and provide for them, they now must figure it out on their own. Turns out adulting is hard for everyone!

"Bear emancipation is always so hard! I am never ready for it," wrote @gator20052002. If this is how all the young bears react while getting used to being alone, we think it's safe to say we'll never be ready for bear emancipation! It's so heartbreaking, but we also know it's necessary.

As adorable and fluffy as bears look, it's always important to remember that they are in fact wild animals. And depending on where you live, you might see frequent bears in your backyard. There are luckily tips and tricks to help keep bears away from your house. The first should be common sense, but don't leave your food or garbage outside. Avoid planting fruit-bearing trees or shrubs, don't hang a birdfeeder, and of course, keep your gates closed.
