Katniss Prepares for War in the Final Trailer for 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1'
Last time we checked in with Katniss Everdeen, she was a devastated, exhausted husk of the brave and selfless hero that we knew in Catching Fire.
To be fair, participating in two straight Hunger Games — and having your unconscious body secretly airlifted out of a deadly arena — would be pretty tough for anyone to exit unscathed.
But, because we know the resolve inside our fearless teenage leader (and we’ve read the books), there was never any doubt that Katniss would get her head straight and lead the charge once again. In this final trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1, she does just that.
After a quick recap of the last few trailers, in which Katniss was shown the wreckage of her District 12 (it’s all gone!) and getting super upset over Peeta’s forced collaboration with President Snow, this new clip shows all hell breaking loose as the rebels and Capitol declare total war on each other.
The war is so big, in fact, that they had to split it up into two movies to fully convey its scope. Missiles and advanced weaponry rain down destruction everywhere, as do the arrows fired by our plucky teenage archers. Get excited!
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 opens in theaters on Nov. 21.
