Meat Loaf Collapses on Stage During Concert

UPDATED: Meat Loaf is “responsive and recovering well” after collapsing on stage while performing in Canada on Thursday night.

The rocker’s rep released a statement on Friday morning, saying the singer’s “vital signs are stable and normal” after suffering from “severe dehydration.”

The 68-year-old musician, who cancelled a show earlier this week due to an undisclosed illness, was taken to the hospital to “undergo routine tests.”

The classic rocker fell to the ground during a performance of “I’d Do Anything for Love” at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton. His bandmates quickly rushed to his side and attended to the singer, who wasn’t moving.

Fans have been posting videos of the incident on Twitter.

According to CBC, the audience was asked by security to leave the venue.

Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal he’s responsive and recovering well.

He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.

Any concert postponements/ rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time.
