The terrifying acts of violence all happened in just a few hours on December 1, 2023, when the Medina County Sherriff’s Department said five teens stole a vehicle near Columbus, drove to Ridge Road near I-271 in Granger Township, set the vehicle on fire, then made their way to a gas station and carjacked a 72-year-old man, “who was parked at the gas pumps, and assaulted him in an effort to take his keys. All five suspects fled the area in the victim’s car,” authorities said.

Now, the Medina County Sherriff’s Department announced that all five suspects are from Franklin County and have been charged with aggravated robbery, arson, and receiving stolen property.

Officials said, one of the suspects, who 17-years-old at the time of the incidents, has since turned 18-years-old. Law enforcement identified him as Mohamadu Touray and said he’s being extradited from Columbus to the Medina County Jail.
