2 men arrested in stabbing brawl at Randall’s Island migrant shelter
NEW YORK - A 25-year-old man was stabbed on Randall's Island Friday night, police say.
According to police, the man was stabbed in the shoulder around 8 p.m.
There was a heavy police presence during the arrest.
The Post reports that a large brawl broke out between two groups at the shelter following a separate stabbing earlier that day.
Police arrested two people living at the migrant shelter in connection to the incident.
Josue Deleon,19, and Moises Deleon, 27, are both facing assault charges.
The relationship between the victim and the suspects is still unknown.

This is not the first brawl on Randall's Island.
In January, a 24-year-old man was stabbed during a large fight that broke out inside the shelter.
Police arrested 18 people in the brawl.
Randall's Island migrant shelter is fully funded by New York State.
Tent shelters were set up in August 2023 to help with the city's ongoing migrant crisis.
The shelter goes across 6.4 acres of land and houses nearly 3,000 single adult male migrants.
