3 structures destroyed, 2 others damaged by Point Fire

(BCN) — The Point Fire in northern Sonoma County raging since Sunday has destroyed three structures and damaged two others, according to Cal Fire.

In a statement on social media around 7 a.m. Friday, fire officials said the wildfire has been contained at 75 percent at just over 1,200 acres.

In addition to the affected structures, Cal Fire earlier confirmed a person was injured.

The wildfire began near Skaggs Springs Road around 12:30 p.m. Sunday and spread west of Dry Creek Road near the southeast region of Lake Sonoma, leading to the evacuation of hundreds of residents.

Evacuation orders and warnings were only lifted on Wednesday.
